Few Law Schools in Ghana and Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), in general offer courses in International Criminal Law. The ACICJ aims to therefore create a robust curriculum for the Faculty of Law at GIMPA to provide students with a firm grounding in the law and practice of International Criminal Law and Justice (ICLJ) as well as opportunities to engage with guest lecturers actively practicing in the field, and field trips to the International Criminal Court (ICC). To this end, the Center is in the process of developing a Master of Laws Degree Programme (LL.M) in International Criminal Law & Justice. The Center will also support the development of ICLJ courses at other universities in Ghana and throughout the SSA region. In addition, the Center would offer partial scholarships and/or stipends to offset the cost of attendance for students with a demonstrated interest in the field of ICLJ who are accepted on the LL.M programme.
